Welcome

The Riverside County Department of Public Health has put together this collection of resources to help people learn more about local community farming efforts.

You can learn how to grow your own food, contact people who share a passion for farming and fresh food, or find locally grown produce for your family.

Please leave us your comments and ideas about how to make our efforts stronger.

New Garden In Murrieta!

The Salvation Army and the city of Murrieta broke ground on the first phase of a garden in Murrieta. The 27,000-square-foot patch will be for tomatoes, carrots, radishes, corn, lettuce and other staples. The garden, on the western edge of Alta Murrieta Sports Park, will be worked by volunteers and will rely on donations from the community. All of its harvest will go to food pantries in town.
